Join Moreton Bay based Artist & Educator Clare Purser for a relaxed, free plein air painting session at Dunwich/Goompi Bradbury’s Beach — one of Minjerribah’s most ecologically significant shorebird habitats.

Michaela Kloeckner is a workshop trained ceramicist who has accumulated considerable teaching experience in over 40 years of practice. Using clay create a sculpture of what is important in your world or what makes you happy (an animal, a toy, your brother, your mum or dad).

Join Chris Hooper at Starfish Studio where he’ll be painting live and chatting to people about his process. Chris mainly paints seascapes and landscapes, with a focus on light, colour and the feeling of a place. His work is about slowing down, looking closely, and capturing the feeling of the island.

Think warm homemade scones with jam and cream, delicate finger sandwiches, tiny tartlets, sweet treats and beautifully brewed tea—all served with sweeping views across the greens and the peaceful sounds of island life. It’s the perfect way to pause, recharge and savour a slower pace while exploring the Trail.

Michaela Kloeckner is a workshop trained ceramicist who has accumulated considerable teaching experience in over 40 years of practice. She will demonstrate daily throughout the Arts Trail how to incorporate sea sponges in creating her unique ceramic Ocean Vessels.

Create your own seascape button badge with upcycler Jane Milburn at Stop 11 while looking out over Bradbury’s Beach to Moreton Bay at 23 Flinders Avenue in Dunwich. Jane has sourced badges from Reverse Garbage and will provide everything you need to create a unique place-based button.

Inspired by a love of adventure, the ocean, island life, and the wildlife that surrounds him, Gabriel creates work that speaks to the rhythm and energy of his environment. Visitors to Second Sand Studio on the Arts Trail can expect to see live painting, a creative practice that thrives on movement, texture, and raw expression.
