The annual competition for the NSIGC Minjerribah Photography Awards for 2026, with $2,250 cash prize money, will run from 1st July to 4th October 2026.
The awards are held to create and spread awareness about the natural beauty and indigenous cultural heritage of Minjerribah, North Stradbroke Island.
Celebrate the opening of the 2026 Straddie Arts Trail at QUAMPI Arts & Culture Centre. Enjoy the screening of Makers of Meaning, featuring local artist Craig Clarey, followed by a discussion with filmmakers Tom Francis and Danielle O'Brien, official opening speeches, and a community reception.
Join us at Straddie Brewing Co. for a screening of Subdivision (2009), followed by a conversation with the filmmakers. Tickets are $45 and include the film, woodfired pizza and a drink.
In the back streets of Dunwich, a lost misguided astronaut stands watch in a blaze of fading orange glory. You are invited to witness this unexpected landmark transformed through a live painting collaboration between Quandamooka artist Kieron Anderson and Dean Tyson.
Delvene Cockatoo-Collins will be a resident artist at North Stradbroke Island Museum throughout the 2026 Straddie Arts Trail, exhibiting objects, screen printed textiles, and garments inspired by written materials and collections found within the Museum related to her family.

Discover the meditative art of repetitive pattern-making as you use hand-made stamps and simple texturing techniques to create beautiful clay wildlife or flora inspired by the island. Through the rhythmic process of stamping and layering patterns, youโll transform a simple piece of clay into a tactile artwork rich in texture and character.

Visitors to Second Sand Studio on the Arts Trail can expect to see live painting, a creative practice that thrives on movement, texture, and raw expression.
