Dunwich State School - Hidden Treasures Art Show

iam: community art show & fundraiser

The Hidden Treasure Art Show is a community exhibition celebrating creativity, connection, and the joy of giving. Created as a fundraiser for Dunwich State School and generously hosted by the Point Lookout Surf Club, the show brings together local artists, students, families, and visitors to contribute original artworks in a unique anonymous art sale experience.

Each artwork is displayed without the artistโ€™s name, inviting visitors to choose pieces purely through personal connection and curiosity. The artistโ€™s identity is only revealed after purchase, making every artwork a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered.

Now in its second year, the exhibition has quickly become a celebration of the islandโ€™s creative spirit and community generosity, with contributions from established local artists alongside first-time creators and school students.

All artwork sales directly support Dunwich State School.

Visitors can also enjoy raffle prizes featuring artworks generously donated by local artists, as well as stunning views and whale spotting while visiting the Point Lookout Surf Club.

A joyful and inspiring stop on the Straddie Arts Trail, celebrating the hidden creativity within our island community.

Invitation to Participate in the Hidden Treasures Art Show

Dear Students, Parents, Grandparents, Friends, and Community,

We are excited to invite you to take part in the Hidden Treasures Art Show, a unique and inclusive creative event where everyone is encouraged to participateโ€”no matter your age, experience, or artistic background.

The exhibition will be held 14-16 August during the Straddie Arts Trail weekend and proudly hosted by the Point Lookout Surf Club. We are calling on you to create an original artwork - big or small in idea, but presented on A5-sized artwork cards (supplied for you or use your own).

Every artwork donated will be displayed in the show and sold at a set price of $20 each. In keeping with the spirit of discovery, the artistโ€™s identity will remain hidden until after purchase. This means buyers choose based on the art itself, adding an extra layer of fun and excitement for both creators and collectors.

Your contribution not only celebrates creativity but also supports our local primary school through this special fundraising event.

How to get involved:

  • Collect your A5 artwork card from the following businesses or use your own:
    Locations to be announced shortly
