Dunwich State School - Hidden Treasures Art Show

iam: community art show & fundraiser

The Hidden Treasures Art Show is a community exhibition celebrating creativity, connection, and the joy of giving. Featuring original A5 artworks created by local artists, students, families, and visitors, every piece is available for just $20, with the artist's identity revealed only after purchase. All proceeds support Dunwich State School.

Inspired by the belief that art should be accessible to everyone, the exhibition brings together established artists and first-time creators in a unique anonymous art sale. Visitors are invited to choose artworks based purely on personal connection, making every purchase a surprise and every artwork a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered.

Alongside the exhibition, visitors can enjoy raffle prizes generously donated by local artists, take in stunning ocean views, and, if they're lucky, spot whales from the Point Lookout Surf Club deck.

The Hidden Treasures Art Show celebrates the creativity, generosity, and community spirit that make Minjerribah such a special place. Thanks to e-print for generously donating the art cards, the Point Lookout Surf Club for hosting the event, and the Straddie Arts Trail for its support.

Invitation to Participate in the Hidden Treasures Art Show

Students, parents, grandparents, locals, visitors, professional artists, and first-time creators β€” everyone is invited to take part in the Hidden Treasures Art Show.

Held as part of the Straddie Arts Trail from 14–16 August and proudly hosted by the Point Lookout Surf Club, the exhibition celebrates creativity, connection, and community spirit while raising funds for Dunwich State School.

Create an original artwork on a supplied A5 art card (or use your own A5-sized card). Paint, draw, collage, print, stitch, photograph, or experiment with mixed media β€” all styles and skill levels are welcome.

Every artwork donated will be displayed anonymously and sold for $20, with the artist's identity revealed only after purchase. This unique approach encourages visitors to choose artworks based on personal connection rather than reputation, making every purchase a genuine discovery.

Whether you're a budding young artist, a seasoned creative, or simply curious to try something new, your contribution will help create a vibrant exhibition that celebrates the hidden creativity within our community.
