  • How do I get to North Stradbroke Island

    By public transport. You can catch a train to Cleveland from Brisbane using the Cleveland line. Find out Train times here.

    A free bus connects with the train to take you to the ferry. You can buy your ticket at the passenger ferry office or on the boat. Click here to view the timetable.

    When you arrive on North Stradbroke Island the local bus service will meet your ferry and you can buy a ticket to travel around the island. If you are visiting for one day only to see the arts trail ask the bus driver for an all-day ticket that allows you to hop on and off the bus throughout the day.

    By private transport. If you are travelling by car you will need to book your car onto the car ferry through Sealink.

    If you are travelling by bicycle you can either travel on the car ferry or the passenger ferries.

  • How do I plan my visit to the arts trail

    The Straddie Arts Trail booklet is your guide to this years arts trail. The booklet includes information about each of the participating artists and maps to show you where to find the artists you would like to visit. Hard copies of the booklet will be available at various locations in Cleveland including the ferry terminals and onboard and at the Redlands Coast Visitor Centre or you can pick up a copy at each township collective.

    The arts trail is offering a broad range of associated events this year. Including workshops, musical events featuring our talented local musicians, kids events and more. You can see what is on offer on the workshops and events page and make bookings.

  • Are there places I can eat during my visit

    The island has coffee shops, café’s and restaurants at all three townships. During the day you will be able to drop into most of these at times that suits your individual journey. If you are staying for dinner it is best to book a table at your preferred dinner location. You can find information about coffee shops, café’s and restaurants here.

  • I would like to stay on the island during my time visiting the arts trail
