Megan Forward is an artist, author, illustrator, and writer who weaves together creativity, story, and sustainability with a deep appreciation for the interconnected wonders of the natural world. Working from her Manly, Queensland studio on Quandamooka Country, Megan creates picture books, paintings, assemblage sculptures, fine art prints, and greeting cards inspired by her surroundings.

At her home you'll find sketches and glimpses of the fragile yet powerful beauty of North Stradbroke Island/Minjerribah in watercolours, pastels and acrylics....Trish has spent decades observing and immersed in the mystery of the island, ever since her parents first brought her as a baby to stay at Claytons Guest House at Cylinder Beach, Point Lookout/Mooloomba.

This is 8-year-old Goldie’s first year presenting her work on the Straddie Arts Trail. Her style is slab built pottery with a fun and practical design.

Ali is an 11-year-old Straddie girl who enjoys going to the beach and collecting treasures for her artwork.  Her natural surroundings inspire her drawings and paintings of fauna and flora.  Ali and her brother (Mason) help each other to create miniature, wooden surfboards.  Ali has fun drawing the designs on the surfboards.

Mason is a 12-year-old Straddie boy who enjoys working with wood. Mason is always searching for pieces with interesting shapes or textures whether it’s on the beach, in the bush or salvaged from old furniture.  Each piece of wood has its own charm! Mason spends lots of his time carving, building, sanding and hand polishing his creations. 

Kieron Boona Anderson is a direct descendant of the Ngugi people of Mulgumpin (Moreton Island). Kieron is deeply connected to the continuation and sharing of knowledge from the sacred systems that have been entrusted to him across the Quandamooka nation. He brings together his professions as a trained chef and emerging contemporary artist to share old and new stories, with an emphasis of cultural resilience and food sovereignty.

Gabriel D'Hage-Craig is a Stradbroke Island-based artist whose practice bridges the raw energy of street art and the restless experimentation of digital design.

I paint landscapes and portraits. Images beckon me - they pop out and beg for paint. The phone camera is my constant companion. I scroll my images looking for the one that pops out, sometimes only a fraction of the whole image.

Jane Milburn OAM embraces living simply in the beautiful natural environment of North Stradbroke Island alongside her career in rural and slow clothing advocacy. As a play-based immersive artist, she experiments with pottery, natural dyeing, stitching and permaculture gardening.

Minjerribah/Terrangee Island songbird, Paula Boo, weaves her acoustic soul through her music and her art. As a Fibre Artist, Paula uses a variety of traditional and innovative techniques, styles, and materials to create her unique pieces.

‘Gindi’ in my Jandi language means something good. I put a lot of love, time and effort into the making process to create a small handmade treasure for you, a memento of my beautiful island home.

The Bowman family have been beekeeping on Stradbroke Island since 1978 using organic principles. Find an array of bee related creativity.

Budla meaning two in Jandai (Quandamooka) & Malu meaning sea in Kala Lagaw Ya (Zenadth Kes). Owned & Operated by Zenadth Kes man of Boigu and Erub island, Jhavon Auda & Quandamooka woman, Mikayla-Haze Adams-Queary.

I love to print on fabric - tea towels, tote bags, cushion covers, t-shirts...everything! I also enjoy running workshops with small groups and schools. I descend from the Nunukul, Ngugi & Goenpul people of Quandamooka.

I’m a potter and have been working with clay for about 8 years since moving to Straddie. I love creating large, functional ceramics for everyday and entertainment use, focussing mainly on slab building with an informal, imperfect effect. 

Dr. Sandra Delaney is a Nunagal, Goenbal Ngugi woman whose arts practice represents a move to pass on language art and culture through stories shared with her Elders.

Shara Delaney grew up on Quandamooka country listening to the stories of her Elders. Her paintings are a reflection of her connection to Quandamooka Country.

Reef is an 12-year-old Point Lookout local who has a T-shirt brand called, “six fish”, where his drawings are showcased.
