Mahala Burns

iam: a lino print artist
I love to print on fabric - tea towels, tote bags, cushion covers, t-shirts...everything! I also enjoy running workshops with small groups and schools. I descend from the Nunukul, Ngugi & Goenpul people of Quandamooka.

I have had the privilege of growing up on Country - Minjerribah, and this is where I draw inspiration. Quandamooka people have cared, protected, and lived as one with our Country since time began.

I aim to bring beautiful Bush and Sea Country onto fabric and into homes for all to enjoy and appreciate, sometimes in the quiet whispers of memory.

Creating freely, with no rules, just paying attention to a few basic principles, encourages my inner rebel to play while the perfectionist is given time out.
