I am a coastal landscape artist whose work is shaped by the ocean, surfing, beach culture and the places I know well. I mainly paint seascapes and landscapes, with a focus on light, colour and the feeling of a place.

Danny Horsford (operating as Currawong Fibre Arts), has been cultivating his skills in craft and the arts from a young age. Originally a classical musician, Danny shifted his creative focus after reconnecting with his Maori heritage through traditional weaving.

I fell in love with pottery after moving to the island eight years ago and joining our community pottery group.

I was raised on Straddie and have a deep love of its beauty. Our first home at Point Lookout was a fibro cottage overlooking Main Beach, it was beautiful watching the storms come up from the South and I love painting stormy seascapes.

At her home you'll find sketches and glimpses of the fragile yet powerful beauty of North Stradbroke Island/Minjerribah in watercolours, pastels and acrylics....Trish has spent decades observing and immersed in the mystery of the island, ever since her parents first brought her as a baby to stay at Claytons Guest House at Cylinder Beach, Point Lookout/Mooloomba.

Coco-May is a 12-year-old local artist. Coco comes from six generations of artists and has been learning from her Nanna Mimi since she could pick up a paintbrush. She loves to paint and particularly loves creating her own colours. Coco-May gets her inspiration from the local wildlife and nature that surrounds her.

Mimi-Rose is an 8-year-old artist and has been learning from her Nanna Mimi since she was two years old. She is inspired by her older sister, Coco-May. Mimi loves to paint the ocean and sea animals.

I am a painter. I am a self-taught artist of over 40 years’ experience who has resided on Minjerribah for 47 years.

Jane Milburn OAM embraces living simply in the beautiful natural environment of North Stradbroke Island alongside her career in rural and slow clothing advocacy. As a play-based immersive artist, she experiments with pottery, natural dyeing, stitching and permaculture gardening. 

MERI MILA is the work of local artist Merri, whose art forms include original ceramics, distinctive jewellery, vibrant artwork and textiles. Every item is slowly and consciously created by Merri to express feeling, share stories and inspire whimsy.

The North Stradbroke Island Arts and Pottery Group Inc. was established in 1988 to provide opportunities for our local community to participate in arts and cultural activities. Our club fosters appreciation of community by drawing together and supporting members wishing to explore and learn new creative skills within a welcoming and kind environment.

Nestled into its beautiful bushland setting, east of Dunwich, you find The North Stradbroke Island Golf Club which hosts the annual Minjerribah Photography Awards.

The Museum will once again open its doors with free admission during the 2026 Straddie Arts Trail. Visitors can explore our exhibitions, including the award-winning Ngali Dullan exhibition. 

I'm an underwater cinematographer, wildlife photographer and ceramic artist. I am inspired by nature and our island wildlife.

I paint landscapes, flora and fauna using palette knives. My love for painting started when I was 9 in a small fishing village in Penang Island.
