Wendy Bailye
I work fulltime as a feltmaker and textile artist. Minjerribah is a place of infinite inspiration for me. It is where I come to recharge, get some soul food, commune deeply, and create.
Steve Barwell
Artist and state of affairs commentator:
βThe more interesting the work the more disreputable it is.
Defaming reality is the best way of achieving grandeur of delusion.β

Meredith Coyle
My lamps are created from my love of textiles that I have gathered from across the globe - ikats, indigo, barkcloth, ecodyes, European linens or just plain funky. My joy comes from teaming these with amazing bases.
Hive Studio - Theresa DeGroot & Leone Beckman
From the Bowman Family, makers of Stradbroke Island Organic Honey, comes Hive Studio - a mother-daughter venture of Theresa and Leone, transforming vintage tablecloths and reclaimed textiles into wearable heirlooms. Slow fashion made with intention; the same care and passion in our stitching as in every honey jar.
Elinor Drake
Iβve loved Straddie for many, many years and have lived here since 2004. Living on this precious island beside the beautiful ocean is a privilege and a constant inspiration for my pottery and painting - two of my delights.
Alexandra Duffin
I am a 22-year-old mixed media artist and current student at the Queensland College of Art, based in Meanjin. My practice explores colour, texture, and botanical forms through a contemporary feminist lens. Rather than depicting coastal landscapes in a traditional sense, I am drawn to the overlooked detailsβfragments of flora, shifting textures, and intimate moments that reshape how a place can be seen and felt.
Tracey & Bernie Gee - Wilder Isle Ceramics
Thereβs nothing quite like the feeling of clay. The pieces emerging from these raw source materials and the alchemy of glazing and firing combine in a never-ending learning journey of shapes, textures and hues!
Dianna Greer
As an artist I have worked with many mediums over the years (dress design, ceramics, clay sculptures, tapestry) and am now currently enjoying painting and resin art.
Alan (Macka) McKinnon
I am a painter. I am a self-taught artist of over 40 yearsβ experience who has resided on Minjerribah for 47 years.
Point Lookout Bowls Club
This year the Point Lookout Bowls Club is proud to be hosting 14 of our islandβs talented artists and makers. For over 50 years, the Bowlsie has been the go-to spot for authentic Straddie good times and great company.
Ruby Poole
Iβve lived on Straddie for 10 years and have enjoyed making art all my life. I am inspired by all the beautiful people I meet and like to use bright colour in my work. People have always been my favourite subject matter and I love to see each person come to life in my artwork.
Aliana Window
Aliana is a 12-year-old Straddie Island girl who loves art. Her natural surroundings inspire her drawings and paintings of fauna and flora. This year Ali has created a series of beachy stickers, coasters, bags and bikini hangers. A must for any island girl.
Mason Window
Mason is a 13-year-old Straddie boy who enjoys using his hands with nature to create mini master pieces. This year Mason has used beach nature such as shells, driftwood, pumice as well as found treasures that he has transformed into extraordinary pieces of art. Every piece Mason makes is unique.
Patrick Window
Patrick is a straddie kid. He loves spending time down the beach, boating and helping out on his father's oyster farm. He loves fishing and learning about the types of fish that live in around Stradbroke Island. Patrick has learnt to draw pictures of all different species of fish. He has a large collection and has turned them into fish coasters.
