iam: a landscape artist

I am a coastal landscape artist whose work is shaped by the ocean, surfing, beach culture and the places I know well. I mainly paint seascapes and landscapes, with a focus on light, colour and the feeling of a place.

I have a deep connection with family living on the island, we would visit often spending most of our childhood holidays sailing around Myora and the many anchorages of Minjerribah. I’ve continued to return throughout my adult life as a surfer and artist. Straddie is a place I know well and keep coming back to. My work is about slowing down, looking closely, and capturing the feeling of the island.
