St Mark's Anglican Church is heritage-listed. The church was built in 1907 as part of the Dunwich Benevolent Asylum. The church will host the works of artist Ian Orchardson during this years Straddie Arts Trail.

Ian Orchardson painted this series of works while he was staying at Pearl and Keith Waller’s Headland Chalet in the 1950s. He gave the works to the Wallers, where they were displayed in the dining room for many years. 

 Ian was the son of Scottish artist William Quiller Orchardson (1832-1910), known for his paintings of ships.
