Megan Forward

Megan Forward is an artist, author, illustrator, and writer who weaves together creativity, story, and sustainability with a deep appreciation for the interconnected wonders of the natural world. Working from her Manly, Queensland studio on Quandamooka Country, Megan creates picture books, paintings, assemblage sculptures, fine art prints, and greeting cards inspired by her surroundings. 

During the 2025 Straddie Arts Trail, she will be based at the North Stradbroke Island Museum, where visitors can enjoy an exhibition of her artwork and take part in a drop-in nature journaling activity available throughout. 

Workshops:

Megan will be leading guided walking art journal workshops that delve into the archaeology and history of significant Minjerribah sites. Along the way, you’ll be encouraged to create your own beautiful artwork responses. All materials are provided—just bring a raincoat in case of wet weather. Spaces are limited, so book early. $40 per person. Saturday and Sunday, 1:30–3:30pm.
