iam: live mural with Jarad Danby

Visit Fever on Straddie on Saturday and Sunday during the arts trail to witness art in action.

Jarad Danby is a realist painter from the Moreton Bay region of QLD, Australia. He now calls his caravan home as he travels Australia leaving a wake of large-scale murals and oil paintings. As well as inhabiting some of the most remote parts of Australia, Danby’s work can be found abroad, in locations such as Sri Lanka, USA, and West Africa.

Jarad’s practice is nested inside a passion for classical realism painting, as well as modern contemporary styles of abstract and impressionism, and touches on themes such as tradition, diversity, history, and culture while primarily focusing on still-life and landscapes.

Grab a delicious cup of @swivelcoffeensi and a bite to eat at @feveronstraddie, bring your friends and have a yarn on the lawn. All while watching a huge Straddie scenery mural come to life.
