Jennifer Hillhouse

iam: a potter and photographer
Jennifer enjoys making functional work to be enjoyed often in people’s homes. She likes to consider the harmony of a piece, a combination of design and just the right amount of fluidity is key to figuring out how to create a form that “sings”. A balance between form, weight, character & story.

Inspired by years spent at Straddie, her work resonates seaside walks and she uses pumice and shells in her clay bodies collected on beaches of Minjerribah. She has lately become absorbed in Woodfired pottery in kilns around Australia
