About

Delvene Cockatoo-Collins will be a resident artist at North Stradbroke Island Museum throughout the 2026 Straddie Arts Trail, exhibiting objects, screen printed textiles, and garments inspired by written materials and collections found within the Museum related to her family. Visitors are invited to experience Delvene's creative process within the Museum setting and join her for a hands-on workshop on Sunday from 11am - 1pm.  Bookings required. Spaces are limited.

Meet the Artist

Delvene's work is far more than just marks on a page. It embodies a rich connection to country, capturing the Quandamooka soul.

Her pieces share the stories, culture, heritage and techniques of thousands of years, passed down from generation to generation by her mother Evelyn and grandmother Bethel.
